Ryan Sternberg brought home a victory Saturday night in Des Moines, Iowa against Ben Halder. The contest was fought under Muay Thai Rules as part of Roundkick Rumble’s March 2015 event. Ryan scored 4 knockdowns in the bout from hard hitting knees to the body. Halder was able to complete the fight, but all three judges scored the bout unanimously for Ryan.

The win was especially sweet because Ryan’s opponent weighed in at 5lbs more than the agreed weight. He then agreed to gain NO more than 5lbs before the fights started, but he was 5lbs over the second weigh-in as well and gave promoters and us attitude in the process. (He outweighed Ryan by more than 12 lbs at fight time).

Ryan is next scheduled to compete in Phoenix, Arizona at the 2015 U.S. Muay Thai Open.
