Ajarn Chai Seminar

Grandmaster Ajarn Chai

Train with the founder of the World Thai Boxing Association!

The Cellar Gym is honored to host Ajarn Chai Sirisute for an incredible 2-day Muay Thai seminar on September 23rd & 24th! This weekend intensive will offer two days and 10+ hours of top-level Muay Thai training with WTBA founder Ajarn Chai Sirisute. This is a unique opportunity to train with a living legend and the embodiment of the legacy of Muay Thai in the United States, right here at The Cellar Gym!

Ajarn Chai Sirisute is the founder of the World Thai Boxing Association (WTBA) and is responsible for introducing the sport of Muay Thai to the United States. Inspired by his father’s love of Muay Thai, Ajarn Chai began training in Muay Thai at the age of four and had his first ring fight at age 12. In 1968, Ajarn Chai began teaching Muay Thai in the United States. In the 55 years since, he has taught the sport of Muay Thai to professional fighters, athletes, actors, and many of the world’s most influential Muay Thai instructors, as well as expanded the WTBA to more than 18 countries around the world.

All proceeds from this seminar will benefit Coach Chris Cichon and his family. Coach Chris was recently diagnosed with a rare type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He is fortunately responding well to treatment; however, the Cichon family has a long road ahead as they face significant medical expenses and health challenges alongside raising their two young children. We aim to alleviate some of the financial burden and show our support for Coach Chris, who has made immense contributions to the sport and culture of Muay Thai in the United States.

If you are unable to attend the seminar and would like to contribute to the Cichon family, you can still donate by following the link: https://gofund.me/8fdc2ad0
