Nate Maus
Nate Maus brings his passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to The Cellar Gym as an esteemed instructor. Under the guidance of Dave Margraf, Nate has earned a brown belt and now leads our adult beginner Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes.
His journey into Jiu-Jitsu began in 2015, driven by a desire for both a new hobby and self-defense skills. Instantly captivated by the art, Nate found himself deeply immersed in its techniques and philosophy.
Beyond the mats, Nate’s expertise extends into the fields of Psychology and Education, where he has dedicated over 15 years to training individuals of all ages and helping them develop their cognitive abilities. Witnessing his students’ progress, both in martial arts and in life, is incredibly gratifying for Nate.
When he’s not teaching or training, Nate loves embarking on adventures with his wife and two children, embracing experiences big and small.
Nate’s teaching style emphasizes the importance of solid fundamentals through conceptual learning and demonstration. He fosters a friendly and enjoyable training environment while ensuring that students work diligently to refine their skills through drilling and positional sparring.
