On Friday evening Marcelo Nunes promoted 3 BJJ students to the rank of purple belt and one to the rank of blue belt. The four candidates met with Marcelo individually earlier in the week to demonstrate their technical knowledge of submissions, sweeps, takedowns, guard passes, etc. Then as part of Friday’s BJJ class, all four candidates had to roll non-stop for a full hour as other students took turns rolling with the candidates and trying to wear them out. Congratulations to all 4 on their promotions:
