Chris Cichon is the 2011 IKF world classic champion in the light middleweight international rules division. He beat a tough young fighter from Costa Rica to win the belt. Sarah salzgeber was in a slobber knocker of a back n forth fight but lost the decision. Congratulations to all the cellar fighters, its been a fun weekend

Chris and Sarah both fought in brutal wars in the semi-finals, but both came away with the win. Onto the finals tomorrow and hopefully we will be bringing home two shiny new belts

Dan lost a tough fight against a big strong fighter that cut a lot of weight. Dan did great, but was just too small. Chris Cichon won his bout by 3rd round tko. Chris fights again later today, Sarah has her first bout after Chris.

[July 15]
Dan, Sarah, and Chris all made weight today and survived the 3 hr line to do physicals. Only thing left to do is fight. Dan will likely be first of our team and he’s itching to go.

Also sad to announce that Greg wasn’t able to make the trip with us. He came down with a bad case of step throat last night and was forced to withdraw from the tournament. We wish him a speedy recovery and we are bummed he can’t be here with us.

Arrived safely in Florida. Spent the day getting settled in and taking a stroll through downtown Disney. Sarah and Dan posed with one of the street performers. Weigh ins and medicals are tomorrow.

On our way to Orlando for the 2011 IKF World Classic. Weigh ins are Friday and fights will be Saturday and Sunday. We are pumped!
