On March 21-22 Chris Cichon participated in a Muay Thai workshop lead by Thai boxing legends Saekson Janjira and Samart. The two day seminar was held at Trainers Elite in Fitchburg, WI and covered fundamentals of Muay Thai, conditioning drills, and a ranking test at the completion of the seminar. Chris Cichon and his brother Jon Cichon were two of three students promoted to the second rank in Saekson’s system. Saekson will be returning to the Midwest July 25-27 as part of a 3 day, 21 hour seminar lead by 3 martial arts legends.

Saekson Janjira has been called the “Best Muay Thai Instructor in America.” Saekson fought in over 200 professional fights, won 6 world titles, and is a former Lumpinee Stadium champion in Bangkok, Thailand.

Samart Payakaroon is a true legend in Muay Thai. Not only was Samart a 4x Lumpinee Stadium champion in 4 different weight classes, but in 1986 he became the WBC Super Bantamweight Boxing World Champion. Samart is also a superstar outside of the ring as an international movie star and singer in Asia.
