Congratulations to Pam Sorenson who fought to a draw last night in Castlegar, British Columbia against Fernanda Araujo. It was a great fight and great learning experience for Pam “Bam”!

It was a tough first round for Pam. After getting hip tossed to the ground she took some damage from strikes before regaining her guard. She then started working for submissions, but got slammed while trying to secure an armbar/triangle. But she came back strong in the second round landing some good leg kicks and punches on her feet as well as dirty boxing along the cage. The third round was all Pam as she dominated the standup and almost secured a fight ending armbar. But the very tough Fernanda refused to submit and the fight went to the judges decision. The judges at ringside all saw the fight completely differently: 30-29, 28-29, and 29-29 forcing a draw, but the fight was action packed for the fans and later declared the “Fight of the Night”.
