Congratulations goes out to The Cellar’s Jessica Bulver who won her amateur MMA fight last night at Mystic Lake Casino against Michigan’s Chelsi Westdorp. Jessica improves to 3-0 with the win. The event was promoted by Sterling Entertainment Group and Driller Promotions and was the first ever MMA event held at Mystic Lake. The event sold out very quickly with an action-packed lineup, but event with loads of great fights, the match between Jessica and Chelsi still won “Fight of the Night” honors!

Jessica set the pace early, showcasing her much improved striking and her aggressive & non-stop pace. Jessica landed numerous right hands and several big body kicks against the veteran from Michigan. At times Chelsi tried to take the fight to the ground but Jessica showed great counter wrestling by keeping her back off the fence and fighting for underhooks/position on in the clinch.

In the end, all three judges scored the bout, 2 rounds to 1 in favor of Jessica Bulver. Her amateur record improves to 3-0 and she looks to continue climbing up the Midwest rankings.
